Commercial & General has a strong pipeline of construction projects and we are seeking exceptional candidates to add to our established and growing team in South Australia. You will have the opportunity to work on the successful delivery of commercial and industrial projects ranging from $1M to $30 million.

 

Construction Project Managers
As a Construction Project Manager, you understand the importance of time management, budget requirements and the need to achieve the highest quality of construction to Australian Standards. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the entire life cycle of projects from the tender phase, through to handover and the defect liability period
  • Be accountable for the financial management of projects, including monitoring all project costs, assessment of variations and progress claims as well as claims for payment
  • Ensure all required daily, weekly and monthly reporting is accurate
  • Managing time and progress including developing and monitor the head contract programme
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships effectively and consistently
  • Interpret and deliberate on contractual issues that may arise out of the Contract
  • Ensuring all paperwork/electronic forms and tasks are carried out efficiently and timely using the company’s internal Programs
  • Be able to read and interpret plans and detailed specifications
  • Ensure compliance with the Site Management Plans and relevant WHS Regulations
  • Maintain and monitor all environmental site-specific issues to ensure compliance with EPA guidelines
  • Ensuring that the site team have completed all project specific requirements
  • Manage the site construction activities to achieve the most productive use of available materials and construction resources (internal and external) with the site staff and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure a high level of quality, whilst ensuring compliance with the relevant budget requirements
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, relevant authorities, delegates and consultants
  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in construction or engineering and a minimum 5-years experience
  • Ability to communicate throughout all levels of the organisation

 

Contracts Administrators
As a Contracts Administrator, you will support the Project Manager and the Construction team by having:

  • Significant on-the-job experience as a Contracts Administrator on projects of a similar size
  • Completed tertiary qualifications in construction or engineering
  • Understanding of D&C, can accurately forecast, report and manage financials
  • Have exceptional time management and self-organisation skills
  • A can-do attitude and an excellent work ethic
  • Effective communication skills

 

Site Managers
As Site Manager you will support the Project team and oversee works and coordinate trades onsite.

  • Responsible for the supervision of all site activities and logistics in line with current legislation and building codes
  • Overall safety and compliance on site as per documentation, legislation and code
  • Hold a current building supervisors licence
  • Management of all plant, equipment and labour
  • Coordination of all trades as per programme, contract and budget
  • Responsible for all quality aspects of the project and make informed detailing decisions when required
  • Manage all IR disputes and resolution on site and report any breaches
  • Adhere to all OHS requirements, ensuring safety is a priority
